What do I need to know about paying rent?
There are several ways that you can pay your rent:
- Rent Payment

- - Beginning on the 4th, late fees start at $35 and accrue at an additional $5 a day.
- - Acceptable forms of payment: Check, money order/cashier’s check, and debit/credit card via Online Portal.
- - For a receipt, payments must be made during regular office hours. Payments after hours can be submitted through the rent drop box.
Financial Aid
- - Your Financial Aid Deferment Form is due on or before the 3rd of the month to avoid late fees.
- - Knights Circle will only defer a max of 2 consecutive installments.
- - You CANNOT defer your first month of residence.
Payment Online

- - Your first month of residence must be paid out of pocket along with any balance FLPP does not cover.
- - FLPP does not cover summer unless you request that it be billed as full semester.
When is my rent due?
You have three installment payment options to pay the entire amount due under the lease – one installment, two installments, or twelve installments. If you choose to pay a single installment for the entire amount, that single installment is due August 1. If you choose to pay in two semester installments, those installments are due August 1 and January 1. If you choose to pay in twelve installments, the first installment is due on August 1 and the remaining eleven installments are due on the 1st of the next eleven months. Please note that these are all installment payment options and not monthly rent.
Do you have a roommate matching system?
We do! You can find a link at the top of this page, or you’ll receive a link to our current Roommate Matching Form via email from your Leasing Agent. Roommate Matching Information is requested of our Residents each year, so we can be sure we have your latest preferences.
You can select specific roommates that you’d like to live with, as well as listing your personal preferences for things like: cleanliness, how quiet you are, and how socially outgoing you are.
We do not accept any requests for specific location or floor preferences as we simply couldn’t satisfy them with our 2500+ residents. In addition, we do not accept requests regarding a future roommate’s color, creed, national origin, etc.. All roommate placements are handled by an algorithm that takes into account vital factors like: age, self-reported rankings for cleanliness, level of social activity, etc..
Roommate Matching Forms can be submitted, and changes made, as often as one prefers. We’ll use the last completed form for each resident prior to performing our annual placements in late June/early July.
Typically, roommate placements are ready to go out via email during the first week of July. Roommate Matching changes are usually locked around mid-to-late June.
How do emergencies get answered at night when the office is closed?
The Phase 1 office is open 24/7, with RAs on hand to assist you with lock-outs, maintenance emergencies, and virtually any other item that can’t wait for regular business hours.
Typical maintenance emergencies include: Fire, flood, No HVAC system when the outside temp is below 65 degrees, or above 85 degrees, no power or water to unit, etc… If in doubt, please go to the Phase 1 office and an RA will assist you after regular business hours.
